Book day

Hey guys,

I love to read, always have and always will. This all started when I was a kid and I hid in a tree in our yard with my moms Harlequins and Mills & Boons books. My mom worked very hard and always relaxed at the end of the day with a book, oh yea and Young and the Reckless. I learnt from the best.. yes!

Over the pass couple of weeks I have read some amazing book that I would like to share with you. I hope you will have as much fun with them as I did. I found them all on Amazon so you should be able to do same.

WOUNDED by Jasinda Wilder
War has taken everything from me. My family. My home. My innocence. In a country blasted by war and wracked by economic hardship, a young orphan girl like me has very few options when it comes to survival. Thus, I do what I must to live, to eat, and I try very hard to not consider the cost to my soul. My heart is empty, and my existence brutal.

I absolutely loved this book, I mean I have been talking about it ever since I’ve read it. Yes Its that amazing. I couldn’t put It down once I got started and I was truly touched by the potent energy that seeped into me from each page I read. I even called up some of my friends and asked for their take on similar situations as the ones faced in the book. That’s how real it all was. I know you will definitely enjoy this book.

FALLING SERIES by Jasinda Wilder
Becca de Rosa is Nell’s best friend. When Kyle died, Nell was so devastated that no one could reach her, not even her best friend Becca. As she tries to help Nell through her grief, Becca’s own life is thrust into turmoil, and everything she knows is changed. (FALLING INTO US)

I totally loved Becca she is the boss lady!!! This too was an ultra amazing series that I totally consumed in days. All three books have their individuality and uniqueness as well as the all came together wonderfully. I laughed, got all teary and reflected a lot with this series. You will definitely love these books.

ALPHA by Jasinda Wilder
The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle. Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom’s hospital bills. My baby brother’s tuition. My tuition. Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders. And I had just lost my job. There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found. And then, just when I thought all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of ten thousand dollars.

Now this book was steamy and very very eventful. If you love colourful hot books then this is your best bet. I enjoyed the characters especially Layla who reminded of a friend. I was left a bit wanting when this book ended however Jasinda has promised Beta (a continuation/sequel to Alpha) will be out soon. I can’t wait.

Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex—usually, she can’t get up the nerve to approach guys she’s interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it’s time to push past her fears and go after what she wants.

This book is a part of the On Dublin Street series and I have also read all three. They were great! Each showing the different struggles each relationship faced and overcame. I enjoyed my front seat to the growth of the characters. I especially loved Jo and Cam.

Ex-Navy SEAL Stone Pressfield has a bad feeling about the proposed church missions trip to Manila, Philippines. The college-age church group plans to go to Manila and help victims of the sex-trafficking industry. Stone’s lingering nightmare memories about the sex-trafficking industry have him warning church leaders that the trip is a bad idea. He knows all too well that it could end in violence, and those involved aren’t to be trifled with. When beautiful Wren Morgan goes missing, he has a sick feeling that he knows exactly who took her, and for what purpose. The problem is, Wren isn’t just any other student. She’s someone he’s close to, someone he cares about. Now she’s in the hands of cruel, evil men, and Stone is the only one who can rescue her before the unthinkable happens.

This book did not start out as I expected and I began to wonder what the heck!!! But then it just unraveled right before me. I mean I felt fear, felt hurt and felt sad. This is not your typical romance novel, my eyes were opened to the fact that similar things happen all over the world on a day-to-day basis.

Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success. But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love…only to find herself falling for him along the way.

I started to laugh from the first few pages. Kate is funny!!! This was an awesome read, I enjoyed every bit of this book and I am looking forward to Searching For Perfect over the weekend. For all those who have given up on love because of whatever reason, this book is for you. Trust me when I say you will believe again.

Yup… So that’s what I’ve been up to re books and I hope you enjoy them just as much as I did.

I am Destiny Brown saying, A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.
